The Government of Uzbekistan, together with the ADB, have embarked on implementing an important project to build Central Asia's first 800-900 megawatt CCGT power plant. This will expand the capacity of the Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant and improve management and operational capacity of the power utility.
Corporate Solutions was recruited to assist Uzbekenergo in assuring that the project is constructed to the specified standard in the bidding documents on the EPC contract, completed on schedule and with costs monitored and controlled. The consultant's role covers design audit and construction supervision of the contractors' works, issue of necessary progress reports, payment certificates and general project management.
- Project Management: Preparation of necessary project plans, progress reports, payment certificates, provisional and final take over certificates, claims evaluation reports, project final report and any other project management documents as required
Design Audit and Construction Supervision: Providing oversight of all aspects of the contractor's works. This includes review and approval of the contractor's designs, developing and implementing a construction quality assurance program, monitoring contractor's schedule, inspection of materials, comparison of as-built drawings to design and addressing shortcomings in any of these areas
Performance Testing and Commissioning: During the verification and monitoring stage of the whole works, to ensure the foundation work and benchmarking is undertaken to the full satisfaction of ADB and other interested parties
Training And Capacity Development: Working with Uzbekenergo counterpart staff and providing capacity development through on-the-job training.
Supporting the Uzbekenergo Environment Specialist in their role, ensuring compliance with existing Environmental Management Plan and ensuring training of counterpart staff
Social & Gender Equality management: Supporting the Uzbekenergo Social and Gender Specialist, ensuring compliance with existing Social & Gender Plan,and ensuring training of counterpart staff.
