The Government of Uzbekistan and the World Bank are working together to prepare the National Medium-sized Cities Programme to demonstrate innovative approaches to integrated urban development. The programme has identified Kagan, Yangiyul and Chartak as the priority cities for investment. Specifically, these investments will address the improvement of the potable water supply of each of these cities as well as the sewerage system of Kagan. This project is divided into two phases:
1. Feasibility Studies: Investment planning, financial and economic analysis, social assessment, and environmental and social impact assessment of the investments;
2. Preparation of detailed designs and bidding documents for the proposed investments
