KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Prepare a framework for conducting a compressive Training Need Assessment related to IFRS knowledge and skills
  • Design and provide training events on IFRS standards applicable to the National Bank of Tanzania on financial reporting requirements for financial institutions
  • Define requirements for financial reporting by the banks for submission to the Directorates of Finance and Internal Audit and staff of the Directorate of Banking Supervision
  • Assess audited financial statements submitted by national banks and financial institutions and identify gaps and weaknesses in financial reporting
  • Prepare suitable training materials and case studies, using audited financial statements of selected banks and financial institutions as examples for illustrations
