KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Review corporate and individual taxation laws and propose amendments to create an enabling environment to promote the development of SMEs
  • Establish a single depository centre, introduce a coding structure, streamline processes, and implement a Capital Market Information System
  • Review the state schemes for financial support to SMEs and entrepreneurs and recommend financing methods through the capital markets
  • Review state debt management practices and help develop the Government Bond, Corporate Bond and Equity markets
  • Create a Capital Market Training Centre and design and deliver a comprehensive training programme on financial instruments and products
  • Organise study tours, conferences, and public education programme to increase awareness and create knowledge throughout the financial sector
