KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Support the implementation of Energy Strategy and Budget support Programme in line with the Law on Energy in Azerbaijan
  • Advise on private sector participation in the sector in the form of privatisation and concessions
  • Develop policies on electricity tariffs and affordability and an action plan for promoting renewable energy
  • Design a campaign for promoting energy saving and prepare long-term energy forecasts
  • Prepare criteria for market opening and reforms and draft reports for the EU Energy Community Secretariat
  • Conduct training needs analysis, organise trainings, workshops and roundtable plans, and study tours
