KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Assist the Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM) with updating the Energy Strategy, including policies relating to private sector participation and privatisation, electricity and district heating tariffs and affordability, and an environmental strategic assessment
  • Update the “Programme on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Resources’, including the development of policies and action plans for the implementation of EU acquis on energy efficiency
  • Support the MEM on preparing policies and guidelines for further market development, sector regulation, and facilitate its participation in the Energy Community Treaty and the Energy Working Group
  • Conduct training needs analysis, organise trainings, workshops and roundtable plans, and study tours
